Hotjar's Recordings are one of the best tools in your UX toolbox when you want to see how people really navigate through your website and collect the insight you need to fix the user experience and improve conversions.
You can sit in front of hours of recordings and insights might ‘pop out’ at you, but you will get way more out of them if you plan your work on them smartly and now, with these new filters, use quicker ways of narrowing down your list of Recordings to watch.
So what do these new filters do?
Let’s look at each of these in a bit more detail:
Understand your visitors’ experiences depending on where they’ve come from. For example, maybe you want to look at just those visitors who’ve come from a particular ad campaign, in order to understand their behavior better—and, now you can.
Users’ repeated clicks might point you towards confusing or potentially broken elements on your website. Now you can filter your Recordings by Rage Clicks to reveal usability improvements.
A U-turn is where your user turns back on themselves before taking a key action like completing a purchase, perhaps signaling uncertainty. Improve conversion rates by zooming into Recordings where U-turns have occurred and spot potential UX issues.
